Homburg Charitable Foundation

A short introduction
Thank you for visiting the Homburg Charitable Foundation website. Here you can see a small example of some of the work we do. The organizations we support have strong roots in their respective communities.

Born and educated in the Netherlands, Richard Homburg arrived in Nova Scotia in 1972, with "big dreams, little cash, boundless energy, and vision of unlimited opportunities." Today, he is a "proud Canadian" and an extremely successful entrepreneur whose business spans seven countries and two continents. Woven within his brilliant accomplishments is the sincere belief that "at the core of success is the health and the wellness of all of us, of all ages." It comes as little surprise, then, that Dr. Homburg would direct his resources, and limitless vision towards the Homburg Charitable Foundation.

About the Homburg Charitable Foundation
Due to the tremendous philanthropic work of Dr. Richard Homburg, the Homburg Charitable Foundation was formed in 2008 in Halifax Nova Scotia. In addition to building a widely successful professional real estate management empire, Dr. Homburg has also decided to take on social responsibilities by contributing to charitable causes at home and abroad. As a young entrepreneur in the Netherlands, Dr. Richard Homburg began giving back to his community by supporting his local animal shelter. Later as a young immigrant to Canada he always gave back to the community by supporting local churches & promoting the arts. As his success grew so did his annual donations.

The Homburg Charitable Foundation is proud to support a variety of different charities internationally. From small local charity golf tournaments & scholarships in Kenya, Africa to the Homburg Health & Wellness Centre at St. Mary's University in Nova Scotia; the Homburg Charitable Foundation's goal is to strengthen communities.
