Tallinn

Tallinn is the capital of Estonia. It has a population of around 400,000.
Its rapidly modernising business district lies to the east of the old town centre, around the Viru hotel, built by the Finns during Soviet times.
Ülemiste airport lies on the lake of the same name, so close to the city that a traveller without too much baggage can walk right into town.
